Fake Pokémon card checker
Put your card next to the official one, check the details, then run a 2-minute checklist with the card in your hand. Most fakes give themselves away here. Your photo stays on your device.
What this can and can't do: it spots common fakes. It can't prove a card is real. For a valuable card, get it graded by a grading company before you buy or sell.
1 Find the official card
2 Compare it with yours
Fill the photo with the card, straight on, in good light. Look for a different font, wrong energy symbols, spelling mistakes, colours that are too dark or washed out, a blurry picture, or a different set symbol.

Check these details on your card
From the official card data. Tick each one that matches; anything that doesn't is a strong sign of a fake.
3 The 2-minute checklist (card in hand)
Answer what you can; "not sure" is fine. If you have a real card from the same era, compare with it: that's the best test there is.

- Check the centering before you send a card to grading.
- What dealers pay for it: real cards have real buylist prices.
- Card shops near you: most will look at a card for you.
