Grading calculator
Should I grade it?
Put in what the card sells for raw and graded, and how clean it is. We work out whether sending it to PSA leaves you with more money than selling it as is, in Canadian dollars, after PSA's fee, shipping and selling fees.
Check the centering first
Centering is the easiest thing to check at home, and the most common reason a clean card misses a 10. Add a photo of your card, line up the edges and borders, and see the left/right and top/bottom split next to PSA's limits (a PSA 10 needs about 55/45 on the front and 75/25 on the back). Your photo never leaves your device.
How we work it out
- Sell raw: the raw price, less selling fees.
- Grade, then sell: each grade's price times its chance, added up, less selling fees, less PSA's fee and shipping.
- Break-even: the chance of a PSA 10 you'd need for grading to come out even. If your real chance is well above it, grading usually pays.
- PSA's fees are in US dollars and change often. We convert at today's rate. Shipping to PSA and back from Canada is usually the biggest cost, so sending several cards together lowers the cost per card.
- This is an estimate, not a promise: grades and prices move. Grading also takes weeks to months.
Service levels and fees are PSA's, checked recently; always check psacard.com before you send. We are not affiliated with PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator).
